Thank to members for your great support at today's meeting. Thanks also for the postcards that have been handed in this week. Bringing along a postcard is one of the easiest and best contributions that you can make as this could potentially bring a new memeber to the chapter. This week's category focus for the postcard drive is once again: Promotional/Mechandising company
If you know anyone who runs promotion/merchandising company who are not current BNI members then please fill their details in on the postcards and bring them along to next weeks meeting.
We had a massive 20 referrals handed in this week and a whopping £11,000 of business passed around the room with is a fantastic testament to the business being generated between the members.
Many thanks again.

Once again, thank you all for your great support at today's meeting. Thanks also for the postcards that have been handed in this week. Bringing along a postcard is one of the easiest and best contributions that you can make as this could potentially bring a new memeber to the chapter. This week's category focus for the postcard drive is once again: Virtual/Managed Office Space
If you know anyone who runs Virtual or Managed Office Space who are not current BNI members then please fill their details in on the postcards and bring them along to next weeks meeting.
We had a massive 22 referrals handed in this week and a whopping £24,000 of business passed around the room with is a fantastic testament to the business being generated between the members.
As a final announcement Oliver Wastell has applied for a change of category to the seat of "Computer Software Sales/Services". He will still be continuing with his Property Investment Business, however he will be using his programming skills to help to support his time in the property business. Below is Oliver's skills in the area of software development:
"With respect to my IT background, I have programmed in BASIC since 1985, done an MEng degree in electronic engineering which included modules in software engineering and safety critical systems. In 1994 I started building databases using excel and visual basic as a student engineer with ABRO (Army Base Repair Organisation). In 1998 as a graduate engineer I was taught the principles of relationship data analysis and design by a software engineer working on the Merlin helicopter programme where I implemented a database for the management of aircraft limitations, operational constraints and technical problems. In a project and programme management role for the MOD and NATO from 1999 to 2006 I have used Microsoft Access for the management of project and programme information and have worked with programme partners to deliver database solutions for the benefit of the programmes."
If anyone has an objection to this change of category then please notify a member of the membership committee either by email or at the meeting on Wednesday.
Many thanks again...

You’ll be pleased to know our esteemed Membership Coordinator is back this week from his holidays so normality and efficiency will return.
Set up duty this week is the little and large show aka. Paul Goodman and myself.
10 minute speaker is Mick Graham.
Membership Committee meeting tomorrow as well for those people that it concerns.
Don’t forget to keep raising the funds for the Dragon Boat Racing on the 5th September.
Finally, we have 2 months left of running the chapter and we want to have a push on more 1-2-1’s. We intend to have a 1-2-1 draw tomorrow to be completed within the next 2 weeks. As we all know 1-2-1’s are the best way to help us give and receive more business and we’re sure this initiative will help us achieve that.

We’re going to send off the £99.00 Registration fee to NRSB this week and we need to raise £1,000 between us for this event. We have about 18 places filled now with 1 place remaining. It would be great if all members of the chapter can help with getting sponsorship for the chapter team as it’s a team sponsored event.
I believe this event would be great for P.R for the chapter and will give some great content for Craig to upload on the website. It’s my intention to provide details and photos to the BNI success net magazine and we should get our story in there as well.
Obviously, we’ll be up against some larger Nottingham companies such as Boots and Trent Barton Buses which I’m sure you’ll agree will raise the profile of the chapter.
