Beating The Summer Slump

Nottingham BNI, Business Team Chapter is steaming to success as usual. This success comes in spite of the usual summer slow down when traditionally, key decision makers within businesses are on holiday.

The meeting today was met with usual high spirits, resulting an overall positive experience for all. However the members don’t join BNI for a warm and fuzzy feeling, we join BNI to make our businesses more successful.

Today the chapter passed more that £15,000 worth of business. We record the amount of business passed between members by passing a ‘thank you’ slip, to the member who referred the work once the job has been completed.

Our average seat value per member currently stands at almost £18,000 per year; there are very few business promotion activities that can compare to this return on investment, especially during a global recession.

Alison Peck, from Clearly Stated, stood in last minute to cover our weekly education slot, as our usual Education Coordinator was on annual leave. Alison gave a very informative ‘off the cuff’ presentation to help members improve their networking skills. Thanks Alison.

David Bytham, from IT ‘n’ Ink gave the 10 minute presentation about his business, letting members know how he can save them money on all of their printer ink and toner cartridge requirements. David constantly strives to improve the quality of the service and the products that he supplies for his clients. Thanks David.
