Dragon Boat Success

What a week it’s been!

Firstly, thank you for all your support with the Dragon Boat racing on Sunday. It was a fantastic day out and everybody had a great time. We finished a respectable fourth out of eight teams, which was a good effort for our first time at this event. It’s certainly fired up our competitive streak as some members are planning for next year’s event already. Please keep collecting the money in. Ideally we would like to start actually consolidating the funds raised by the 22nd September. There are plenty of photos on our facebook page.

Secondly, we had a great turn out at the BNI “show me the money event” yesterday. It was a well organised day and out chapter won a regional award for the most improved chapter, which is testament to the professionalism we display at our meetings.

Thirdly, we have an exciting development with the chapter. I have mentioned this to the members I have seen over the last few days, but to get everybody up to speed we are relocating our meetings to the Radisson Park Inn Hotel on Mansfield Road. http://www.nottingham.parkinn.co.uk I’ll confirm the date this will be happening but we would like to be there in time for our visitors day on the 22nd September.

Finally, to chapter business. Set up and pack away duty this week is Michelle Fox and Mick Graham, and our 10 minute Speaker is Brian Watkinson.
