Nottigham BNI Success!

It was another great meeting this morning with lots of business passed. We received great feedback from Mark Jarvis, one of the assistant directors for BNI Notts & Lincs, who visited us today. He enjoyed the meeting and was very impressed with us all. Everyone's hard work and dedication over the last twelve months has seen the momentum of our Chapter building steadily. In fact, today we received the BNI Traffic Light report which shows BNI Business Team ranking for October 2010 in 8th Place out of the existing 620+ Chapters in the UK and in first place for Notts and Lincs! This really is fantastic and we should all be very proud of ourselves.

How we score in the BNI Traffic Light depends on a number of factors such as attendance, referrals, no. of visitors, retention of members, no. of members, etc. As a Chapter we've been performing across the board which has got us to where we are today and the amount of business being passed within our Chapter is a testament to that. There has been no magic bullet, but rather a culmination of us collectively and individually getting it right consistently.

In order to increase the average seat value of £17,500 to £44,000 (250% improvement) as a Chapter we want to continue building upon our success and reach our goal of 45 members passing £2 Million of business per annum. In order to do this we need to avoid becoming complacent, and keep doing what we're doing.

With this in mind it was very encouraging to see some of our newer members after the meeting actively spending time with their mentors going through their new mentor information packs. This will inevitably help our newer members to get more referrals both for them and their fellow members as well as help them to grow the Chapter and their own power teams.

PLEASE NOTE: As mentioned during the meeting, it really is worth all members trying to get along to the 'Show Me The Money Day' on the 22nd November as Phil Berg really is an inspirational speaker as he knows a lot about how to grow a Chapter which means more business for all our members. The six or seven members, myself included, from the Business Team that attended his last presentation in March 2010 were all very impressed and we all came away with a lot which has helped to grow the Chapter.
